Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Mandip Dhital, Nepal, the operator of Jodx (“Jodx”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Jodx you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Jodx.
1. What Jodx is
Jodx connects people and businesses nearby. You can post requests for items and services, respond to other people's requests, post job vacancies (businesses) and apply for them (individuals), and chat with the people you deal with.
Jodx is only a platform for making contact. We are not a party to any deal, sale, service or job arranged through it. We don't handle payments, and we don't check, guarantee or insure what users offer, the quality of their work, or who they are. Any agreement you make is between you and the other user.
2. Who can use Jodx
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Give true information: your real name, a phone number you can be reached on, and, for businesses, your real business name and category.
- Use one account per person or business, and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- You may not use Jodx if we have banned you before.
3. Your content
“Content” means anything you post or send on Jodx: requests, responses, vacancies, CVs, applications, messages, photos and profile details. You are responsible for your content. You keep ownership of it, but you give us permission to store it, show it to the users it is meant for (for example nearby providers or the person you are chatting with), and process it as needed to run Jodx.
4. Content and behaviour that is not allowed
You must not post, send or ask for anything that:
- is illegal in Nepal or where you are, or offers or requests illegal goods or services: drugs, weapons, explosives, stolen goods, counterfeit items, wildlife products, gambling, or anything needing a licence you don't have;
- is sexually explicit, offers or requests sexual services, or is any kind of child sexual abuse or exploitation, or involves minors in any harmful way;
- harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone, or encourages violence or self-harm;
- is hateful or discriminatory on the basis of caste, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or any similar characteristic, including job vacancies that discriminate illegally;
- is a scam or fraud: fake requests, fake jobs, asking for advance fees or deposits for jobs, pyramid schemes, phishing, or tricking people out of money or personal details;
- impersonates another person or business, or misrepresents who you are;
- shares someone else's personal information without their permission;
- infringes anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- is spam: repeated, irrelevant or bulk messages, or advertising unrelated to a request;
- contains malware, or tries to hack, scrape, overload or get around the limits and security of Jodx.
5. Reporting and blocking
- You can report a user from a chat, a request, a vacancy, an applicant list or their contact card. Choose a reason and add details. We review reports and act on them as quickly as we can.
- You can block a user from the same places. After that they can't contact you, see your profile or phone number, or receive your requests. You can unblock people in Account → Blocked people.
- You can also email support@jodx.app about any content or user.
6. What we may do
To keep Jodx safe we may, with or without notice: remove or hide content, limit how much you can post, cancel your open requests or vacancies, and suspend or permanently ban your account if you break these terms or we believe you put other users at risk. We may also change, pause or stop parts of Jodx.
7. Staying safe
- Meet in public places when you can, and check items and people before you pay.
- Never pay a “fee” to get a job, and never share passwords, one-time codes or bank details in chat.
- Jodx is not an emergency service. In an emergency in Nepal, call Police 100, Fire 101 or Ambulance 102.
8. Limitation of liability
Jodx is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it working, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that a request will reach anyone. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or harm arising from your dealings with other users, from content posted by others, or from your use of Jodx. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have by law and that cannot be excluded.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete account) or as described on our account deletion page. We may close your account as described in section 6.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for important changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Jodx after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Nepal.
